Flux Cored Wire Selection Lincoln Electric

A flux cored wire is optimized to obtain performance not possible with a solid wire. For many welding applications like vertical up welding, flat welding, welding over galvanized, or welding hard to weld steels, a flux cored wire can do it better and faster. Although gas metal arc welding (GMAW) with a solid mild steel wire is popular, easy to

Welding Tips and Tricks • View topic Flux Cored TIG Wire

Aug 05, 2016 · It's supposed to be flux cored tig wire for stainless steel welding without purging. Welding with this flux core wire is slow going due to wide prep gap and dip/keyhole method and we have to overcome the quality reliability issue otherwise it will get out of hand very quickly. Our code requires us to x ray 10% of all welds.
